Baird's Rat Snakes

I do not remember when I saw my first Baird's, only that I fell in love instantly with those silver scales. Still it was actually quite some time before I got my first, it was a hatchling who died shortly after I got him. I got my first pair quite a few years later and haven't looked back since. My preference is a nice solid silver snake with no stripes but I am learning to appreciate the stripes! I would love to be able to keep more locality specific snakes, and am trying to get more of the hypos (or t+albinos, I think the jury is still out on the exact genes of this new and exciting morph) but we are limited on space.

	Male Snakes
Name: Q Sex: Male Hatched: 2004 Morph: Highway 277 (texan) Status: Proven Origin: Private Breeder		Comments: Q is currently the biggest snake in my collection. He shows more of the in-between scale color but close up he has very nice silvering too. He has developed the classic dark striping over the years, I used to really dislike it, but he is making me appreciate it more. The stripes are simply darker silver! he also has three all red scales along his back.
Name: Wolverine Sex: Male Hatched: 2006 Morph: Normal het Hypo Status: Growing Up Origin: Acme Critters (Originally Mike Falcon)		Comments: My het hypo male. He is lighter than Q, but with more silver, in some lights he looks almost pink. I lost my hypo female in June of 2010, so the hypo project is up in the air these days. Looking for another one!
Name: Zaphod Sex: Male Hatched: August 2009 Morph: mexican Status: Growing Up Origin: Sneaky serpents		Comments: Slowly but surely the yellow is creeping in with every shed!
Name: RiffRaff Sex: Male Hatched: 2009 Morph: F2 Mexican/Texan cross Status: Growing Up Origin: Byron de Stouet		Comments: He's from an interesting cross, both parents are half Mexican and half Texan. He has started out slowly for me, but is starting to put on some weight and develop the classic Mexican look.
Name: Jareth Sex: Male Hatched: 2010 Morph: Hypo Status: Growing Up Origin:		Comments: trying the hypo thing again, this time I was able to get a male. Now I need some more females!
Name: Mal Sex: Male Hatched: 2010 Morph: Mt Davis Status: Growing Up Origin: Troy Hibbits		Comments: Starting to branch out further into locality specific bairds! The father of this snake is an incredible red and orange snake. I'm hoping he grows up to be the same. I love that he is darker than other babies I've had.
	Female Snakes
Name: Lycan Sex: Female Hatched: 2004 Morph: Highway 277 (texan) Status: Proven Origin: Private Breeder		Comments: This snake is Gorgeous! That and her calm demeanor make her my favorite snake. She wasn't as stripey when she was younger, something that has really intensified as she has aged. Paired with Wolverine in 2011 for possible het hypo babies. Hope those eggs hatch!
Name: Arwen Sex: Female Hatched: July 2007 Morph: Vivid Metallic Rat Status: Growing Up Origin: Vivid Reptiles		Comments: I had wanted a Vivid Line Metallic Baird's for a long time... she is gorgeous! Here's hoping she lives up to her breeding!
Name: Endor Sex: Female Hatched: 2009 Morph: F2 Mexican/Texan cross Status: Growing up Origin: Byron de Stouet		Comments: She's from the same cross as RiffRaff, both parents are half Mexican and half Texan. She is eating and growing better than her brother and it shows. She is showing a lot of green amongst her gold and I just love it, I hope it stays!
Name: Moro Sex: Female Hatched: Morph: Mexican Status: Growing up Origin:		Comments: I was lucky enough to be offered this snake when I least expected it. She's so pretty, I'm excited to pair her with Zaphod in the future.
Name: Hedwig Sex: Female Hatched: 2010 Morph: Normal Status: Growing Up Origin: Jimmy "Draybar" Johnson		Comments: I had briefly owned another bairds from Draybar and that snake had such nice silver scales, when I could afford another I went straight back and got this little girl. Hope she looks the same!
