This is my most trusted and probably well known media amongst my oldest friends and family.  I always have a sketch pad or two hanging around and my notes all through high school and college are plastered with pen and pencil doodles.  As you can see I do not do much with backgrounds, never have.  I like the simplicity of just my subject on the page.  Maybe it's laziness, who knows.

The gift of Photoshop Elements and my Wacom tablet from my wonderful husband opened up a whole new artistic world for me and I found that I absolutely LOVE creating art this way, whether it's drawing something from scratch or taking photos and editing them into something crazy and new.  Here I'm all about the backgrounds!

I do not paint a lot, I find it frustrating.  But I have done a few here and there.  I have mostly  used acrylics, but dabbled in watercolor and egg tempra.  I would love to try out oils one day.
