I've always loved taking photos but was never very good at it. Film discouraged me and held me back so much. My first camera was your most basic point and shoot when I was a little kid. I was later able to use my parents nice manual camera but still didn't know how to use them and was continually disappointed with all my outcomes. Then one day I discovered digital! I got my first digital camera for my 22nd birthday, it was only a 3.2 megapixel camera but I was HOOKED! I discovered my passion for photography again. Of course this was also only a point and shoot camera so after a few years I upgraded to a Fuji S7000 6 megapixels that could extrapolate to 12 megapixels (to this day I still don't know what this means but the photos are beautiful!) I used the hell out of this camera. After a few more years it was eating batteries like candy and I was getting frustrated with it's telephoto capabilities. Plus I had subscribed to a photography magazine and started reading articles. I knew my next camera would be a Canon. At the end of 2008 I was able to buy myself a Canon Rebel Xsi and have been trying to make myself learn how to use it manually instead of relying entirely upon the automatic settings. It's been hard teaching myself, I would love to take some actual classes, maybe even go back to school to get a degree in Photography.
My favorite subjects are my pets, wildlife, flowers, skyscapes and now a days, my baby girl Rhiannon.
