Terms and Conditions

Things to consider before you purchase an animal!

All sales are final.
I expect full payment before I ship.
I accept Paypal or US Postal Money Order ONLY! I prefer Paypal. Money Orders should be sent overnight or 2nd day. If I receive any money order other than a US postal one, I WILL send it back!
Sex is never guaranteed on juvenile geckos.
Sex is guaranteed on snakes unless otherwise indicated
All animals will be healthy and feeding unless otherwise stated. All snakes will have fed at least five times unless otherwise stated.
All animals are captive bred and hatched, unless otherwise stated.
No sales to minors without parents permission. I may ask for proof of age, especially if email correspondences show multiple spelling and grammatical errors.
If you want or need an animal held I will do so for up to two weeks free, after that there will be a 50% non-refundable deposit to hold for the next two weeks. I will not hold an animal for longer than a month. Stay in communication with me! If there is an emergency out of town, most libraries have internet access! I am pretty understanding, but I will not be jerked around.
I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.

Shipping:

Local pickup welcome! In some cases, I do not mind meeting half way if I do not have to drive more than an hour.
I ship ONLY to the Lower 48 states. I do not export
I only ship Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.
I only ship if the weather in both locations is above freezing and below 90 degrees F
I will use UPS or Fed Ex overnight unless otherwise stated. I will provide a tracking number and an ETA (there is nothing I hate more than waiting all day for a package never knowing when it will arrive) UPS and Fed Ex can sometimes guarantee arrival by 10:30 or 12:00 if you live in a large city. In rural areas or small towns it is harder to get this time guarantee.
I will ship with heat or cool packs when appropriate. I will use any good box I can get a hold of.
If I do not feel comfortable shipping an animal on a certain day or time, I will not do it. I care more about the animal than the money.
I try my hardest not to have to ship between December 1st and January 30th because of Holiday mail and weather conditions. If an animal is being held during this time there will be no charge.
I absolutely will not ever use USPS for a reptile, so don't ask!

Guarantees:

You MUST email me within 4 hours of receiving the package to let me know how the animal is, otherwise ALL guarantees are void. Even if the state of the animal changes later, at least I have heard from you and know the condition of the animal at the time. Once again the actions of a small minority have ruined it for the rest. I'm tired of sending an animal and never hearing back from the buyer again. I DO CARE ABOUT THESE ANIMALS!! Please stay in communication!

Live arrival is guaranteed if:

The package is shipped Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday
An ADULT is home to receive and sign for the package on first delivery attempt.

Any DOA (dead on arrival) must be reported within 2 hours of receipt. I may not get your email or call, but I can tell what time the package arrived, and what time you contacted me. The death must be proven to me either by sending the animal back to me at your expense; or by a clear, obvious photograph. Any replacement of money or animal will be at my discretion.

Health is guaranteed for 7 days if:

The package is opened immediately upon arrival
The animal is taken care of per the instructions included in the package or in prior communication.
The animal is not put in with any other animal. (siblings or breeding pairs can be housed together if I housed them together)

Health is guaranteed for 7 days after arrival. During this time if the animal gets very sick and/or dies and you have followed my instructions, I will refund the money or replace the animal at my discretion. I must have proof of an illness, meaning a documented trip to a herp Veterinarian or a photograph that shows A) that it is obviously the animal I sent, and B) that something is obviously wrong. A snake that will not eat in the 7 days is not eligible for return or refund as shipping can put them off feed. If any problems, stay in communication with me!

I cannot be held responsible for a package being late or mishandled.

I cannot refund shipping costs ever.

Temperament:

Reptiles are not born domesticated as dogs are. They are born ready to live in the wild so they act like it. Some babies are very calm and don't mind being handled, others will fight it. I try to handle every baby I hatch, but often times I just do not have the time to tame down every single one. You may receive a baby snake that rattles and/or strikes, or a baby lizard that gapes and bites, but rest assured with proper and gentle handling they usually calm down and make good pets. I will try to make a note of the animals disposition when I sell it so no one is surprised. I will not take a snake back for biting, striking or rattling. I will not take a lizard back for gaping or biting.
